Lock it or Lose it!

For those of you who have been with us a while, you will know that I have a questing partner called Galen. He's a Fire Wizard, just a little below my level, and we have been farming gold in Halfang this week - with help from Morgrim, as we do not have access to this area yet.

Those of you who know Halfang, know that it is a fairly straightforward battle, and you can really reap rewards selling the drops. One of them is an amulet worth over 8,000 gold!! None of the dropped items are auction only - so everything can be sold. This is a busy place at all times!
Anyway, we farmed it last night and I got 3 of these, very lucky! If you want to find out more about Halfang then pop over to Wizard101 Central, you can find out about his spells and his drops! Click here.

So we hotfoot it to the Bazaar to sell our considerable stash. In fact we sell at the Bazaar and then go back to farm some more - backpacks were full!! Galen was dressed as Santa. Now it's one thing getting the Christmas spirit, but unless you have stitched your gear, the Santa suit is absolutely no help during a battle. Fed up of not getting his usual Power Pips, Galen decided to revert back to his trusty fighting gear.

And that's when the problem became apparent. He had sold all the Halfang gear at the Bazaar.... along with his fighting gear. And it is good fighting gear, or it was! So for all you Wizards out there who do not have the lock set, I would recommend that you start using it. Just to be safe!!

It is simple to enable this handy feature. You can find it in your Gameplay settings, same place as your Quest Finder. Once enabled, when you look at your gear pages you will notice there is a lock/unlock icon at the bottom of the page. Just click on the item and then click on lock and you will never mistakenly sell your awesome gear again!

Hope you find this helpful, if you weren't aware before!! And I wonder how many Wizards have sold awesome gear just like Galen?

Until Next Time,
Tabitha.

  1. I have been playing Wizard 101 almost since it came out and NEVER knew about this feature! THANK YOU!!! I have little kids who have sold or destroyed their expensive things including crowns gear and items we bought them so this is particularly valuable. With much appreciation, Mariah Mythweaver
