Craftable Tapestries?

I had heard about the addition of the Craftable Tapestries to the game and was wondering which ones were available and where I could find them, here are the tapestries from Wizard City.

So, Eudora Tangletree is selling the recipe's for Tapestries to each of Ravenwood's Schools, one to Nightside and some other special ones, including my personal favourite, the Bazaar.

Eudora Tangletree, as most of you would know, can be located in section showed on the right, of Olde Town.

Once here, the recipes cost 5000 gold each (very cheap if you ask me) and all require 19 TC's, 5 Fish and a varying mix of other items and reagents.

Remember, no two recipes are the same so never buy ingredients without checking the individual recipes. There is however, the Dagger of Absolution that is used in a number of recipes.

On the left hand side, you'll see all the Tapestries Eudora has for sale.

Remember, the reagents can be (depending on the specific reagent) very easy to pick up at the Bazaar so always check there if you're in need of anything.

Well, hopefully you've learned something new and make sure to pick up any recipe's you like the look of next time you pass by.

Good Luck Crafting!

Crafting Deer Knight - Part 1

Hey Everyone,

I've been seeing the stork pop up quite a bit recently. Keeps telling me that I wasn't able to pick up a reagent because I have to many already. The reagent in question is Mist Wood. There is an abundance of it in Avalon, and I am now fully stocked.

This in itself is not an issue, the real problem starts when the Yuletide Pack is released and I can't buy any because my reagents are full! Luckily for me though, I was about to stumble on a new crafting quest that would fix these problems and give me a challenge to boot :)

Over at Avalon I have been mentioning a spell that I really want. I have been holding onto 250,000 gold for a while as I knew this was the cost. And then I found Grady, after I defeated the Indigo Giant. And Grady is quite a find - he sells craftable spells. Not TCs - actual spells. And so my 250,000 gold was seriously depleted as you can see left....

Deer Knight - 60,000 Gold thank you very much!

There is also Lord of the Night, and if I hadn't been hanging out for the other spell I would have purchased it too, but the Lord can wait. Deer Knight will be more than enough for now.

As you all probably know by now, I am a collector of many things. I try to keep my reagent levels up for most items should the need arise. And the need has indeed arisen here! As you can clearly see, I have the bottom row sorted included the ever elusive Amber. I know a lot of Wizards struggle getting Amber. Me? I have Morgrim to thank. His posts and eBooks on gardening have taught me a great deal, and in this case - gardening to get reagents. Nevertheless, the top row is lacking. Let's start with Blood Moss. I have 18 - I need 100. Hmmmm.

Time to go back to the Barn and my crafting tables to see what I have in the way of Transmute Cards that can increase this rather pitiful number. OK - so Red Mandrake will do for a few more, but nowhere near enough!

I use all of them and then start running through the rest of my Transmute Cards to see if I have anything else useful.

Good news! I have another card that Transmutes Mist Wood and Deep Mushrooms into Red Mandrake.

Now this is a double good find, as using Mist Wood will allow me to stop seeing the Stork for a while, and that means I can buy some Seasonal packs if I so wish.

I would always say to pick up any reagent you see as you wander around the Spiral. You can clearly see I have lots of these, which means lots of Red Mandrake will be the outcome. Let's see how many I can get and how that relates to the the Blood Moss numbers......

Well that's not bad going really. I have spent no further gold to go from 18 to 60 with reagents I have in my back-pack. I still have a way to go, especially the remainder of the Blood Moss and the Deer Knight TCs too. But my journey to gain Deer Knight has started well.

Now I need to pop over the Halfang to get my gold stores back up to 250,000 - I just know that spell is around the corner!

I'll let you know how I go on both counts!

Have fun, until next time,
Tabitha

The Crafty Lloyd FallingWater - or "How to buy Castle Blocks"

When KingsIsle first announced the Arcane Builder's Bundle, people all over the world (except in the US of A!) were devastated.  The amazing new Wizard101 capability to craft your own castle was out of reach, unless we had friends in the States or we were able to get one from eBay.

It was good to see that, in one of their many game updates, there was a new visitor in the Shopping District, going by the name of Lloyd FallingWater.  This crafty little fellow had on sale - wait for it - recipes for Castle Blocks!  Woohoo!  We could all now build our own castles!

I went to visit our crafty friend and noticed that he was at the fountain - the place where the temporary visitors to Wizard City come to peddle their wares.  Hmm...did this mean that Lloyd would only be here for a short time too?  Determined not to let that be an impediment, and cashed up to the hilt, I decided I would buy every recipe...just in case the little guy disappeared off to another world that we haven't seen yet, and I couldn't get access to more of these blocks!

OK, wow...he seems to have a lot of blocks!  Where do I start?

I guess, seeing as I had made up my mind to buy them all, I'd just start at the very beginning.  This might take some time!

Well, it wasn't long before I realised that my massive (or is that meagre?!?) cash stores were not going to be enough!  At only 250,000 gold, I ran out and there were still plenty of blocks left to buy! I did NOT expect that!  Lloyd had 59 of these blocks for sale and he was certainly charging well for them!

That said, I was not going to let that stop me.  I calculated that I needed 481,000 gold to buy all of Lloyd's recipes so it was off to the Bazaar to sell off my secret cash weapon - Pet Snacks.  With all of the gardening that I do, I have lots of high-priced snacks, so I proceeded to cash in about 80% of them, but I walked away with 300,000 gold and I knew the end was in sight.

After finally buying them all (I was genuinely concerned that in his current location, there was a good chance he might leave!) that I reflected again on the value of Gardening.  It really does pay dividends to work hard on those gardens!

Now I am all equipped and ready to go and start on building (or enhancing) my Castle!

___

This post was written reflecting on what happened at that time.  Since then, there have been some significant changes!

The most significant change is that Lloyd seems to have found a home.  He has moved across the street and away from the Fountain.  That makes me feel more comfortable that he will be a permanent fixture - although KI can change this at any time, it seems less and less likely.

The other change is that crafty little fellow has been hard at work creating two new Castle Blocks, the 'Roof/Floor B Castle Block' and the 'Roof In Corner Castle Block'.  At an additional 25,000 Gold each, this means that Lloyd is able to bleed you dry of 531,000 Gold, but for that money you walk away with 61 recipes to craft the blocks that you need.

It also means, it pays to visit Lloyd from time to time - you never know what he might have!

The other change is that now you can see different Castle blocks appearing in the Bazaar from time to time.  They are pretty cheap, but it is a lucky dip to see if you end up with the Block that you need!

I am guessing that, for those Wizards without lots of stuff to sell, my friend Halfang is sure going to get a good workout as Wizards everywhere take him on to make some quick cash.

Enjoy your Castle Building.  Let me know how you get on - I'd love to see some of your creations!

See you 'round the Spiral!

Pack Analysis: The "Build-a-Castle Medieval Set" pack

Pack Name:           Build-a-Castle Medieval Set
Pack Type:            Housing
Number of Cards:  7
Cost:                      249 Crowns, 225 on special during House-a-Palooza

Description
Well, wouldn't you know it?  As soon as I write a post about Packs, a new Pack comes out this week with the latest House-a-Paloosa.  The "Build-a-Castle Medieval Set" pack.  That, and another 2 Aquarium packs, brings the total Pack count to 58!

This pack is a pretty logical follow up on the 'build it yourself' theme that Kings Isle have been promoting lately.  It gives (according to the hover over) 7 cards from the Build-a-Castle Medieval Set.  The pack contains all the different blocks needed to build your Castle.

Given that I have purchased all of the recipes from Lloyd FallingWater in the Shopping District, I was curious to find out whether these items were new ones or whether they were existing ones - if they are, that would mean I didn't need to actually craft Castle pieces.

Let's see, I got 5 common items (to be expected, they are "common" after all!) and 2 rare.

A quick review of my recipes and it was a little disappointing, although fully expected, to note that all of these items, even the rare ones, were listed in my recipe list.  Basically, this meant that I had spent Crowns where I could have spent gold.

While I haven't been able to find a complete listing of what is contained in this pack, it is pretty clear that this pack is to help people with building their own castles, and because of that, it is a useful pack, especially for new wizards who have the creative flair needed in order to construct their own wonderful castle creation.

Morgrim's Verdict:
High Level Wizards:  If you can craft, craft.  For me, Crowns are too hard to come by and are kept for the lucky dip of items you cannot find, buy or craft that can only be found in other packs and Crowns Shop categories.

Low Level Wizards:  If you love to build and create, this isn't a bad pack to buy.  It will take a lot of time to obtain the gold needed to buy the recipes and a lot more time finding all of the reagents needed to craft the items.  Although it is random, this should be a great start for your Castle Creating Career!

Let me know if you agree with my verdict :)

See you 'round the Spiral!

A Crafters Dream comes True!

Hey Everyone,

I thought I would share the rest of the news for other updates that will be making their way over from the Test realm when the new update goes Live. I'm quite excited as there is big news on the way for those Wizards who love to craft - and yes.... that includes me!!!

Recipes for Castle Blocks

CastleBlock2Seriously? When the Arcane bundle was released, I'm not afraid to say I was somewhat jealous as I knew it was not to be released in Australia. But no more; it seems everyone will get chance to build !

Look for Castle Blocks Recipes at "Lloyd FallingWater" in the Wizard City Shopping District near the fountain, where the other NPCs appear during the holidays.

The awesome guys and gals at Duelist have got all the info on the expected recipes - see here. They are reporting an extra 59 recipes to craft the blocks to build the ultimate castle, though of course this is still in test so could change.

This is brilliant news and I seriously can't wait for this update! I might even think up another competition with Morgrim on this - you game Morgrim?

bazaartapestry

Teleport Tapestries!!

This is another awesome update.... the ability to craft teleport tapestries! I was very lucky to get my eminently usable Bazaar tapestry in a give away on MMorg, if I didn't have it then I would be crafting this one straight away.

Actually I might buy it anyway and have one at each house!! Once again the awesome Duelist crew have come up tops with the information for these recipes.  Head on over to their page for full information.

Different Crafting badges are required for different tapestries, but one thing you will notice is that fish are in these recipes!

Get the recipes from the following Vendors:

Eudora TangleTree in Olde Town * Wul'Yahm in Krokotopia * Felicia Worthington in Marleybone *  Balthazar Dragonthorn in Dragonspyre * Gearwise in Celestia.
There is a new housing vendor coming our way in Zafaria too, so make sure you pay a visit to Jihane Abletusk in the Baobab Market when the update goes live.

There are a few other random updates that are not quite as exciting, that I have also listed here:
    • Silver chests in many worlds have been updated to provide world appropriate rewards.
    • Creatures on the rooftops of Marleybone should be a little easier to avoid.
    • Listen for additional ambient sound effects as you adventure through many areas of the Spiral.
    • The MooShu quest "An Ailing Emperor" is a mainline quest, and can no longer be declined.
    • Groups of four players should no longer be split up when entering towers within Sunken City.If you're dueling alone and are defeated while you still have an active Henchman, you will now have a full 30 second planning phase in combat that will allow you time to flee or purchase another Henchman.
That's all from me on this one.... lots to look forward to!

    Have fun, until next time,
    Tabitha

    Here Come the Drums!

    Hey everyone,

I know by now that you guys know how much I love to get new badges, and a new crafting badge - well let's just say I'm a little excited. This is where battle questing falls to the wayside and all Spiral time is consumed with doing what I need to do to finish my crafting quest, and get my shiny new badge.

This is a great one, as it involves crafting a "Spirit Caller Drum", and I have been collecting drums at the Bazaar. I must make sure I make one of these for my treasure trove in the Barn. Looking at the recipe, and what I have in my backpack already, it is easy to see that I am a gardener who hangs at the Bazaar. There isn't much needed that I haven't already acquired!

Of course, with these higher level crafting quests, there is slightly more to do than just use some reagents, and in this case you can see that I need some Treasure cards and some drums.

In this case I need Conga drums - 4 of them. A quick flick over to Wizard101central tells me that good old Gearwise in Celestia is the vendor that will sell me the recipe. So off I go to grab that and see what else I need.

I can quickly see that I need Giant Treasure Cards and Fossil .... Fossil will be tricky. There is never much at the Bazaar. So I take a quick look at what Transmute cards I have, and as luck would have it... there is Transmute Fossil. Stone blocks are needed, but I have over 400, so lets see how close I can get!

I have mentioned before, but the beauty of these transmute cards is that there is no time restriction.... those crafting slots do not over heat so you can transmute to your hearts content!
You use your card crafting table for this, by the way.

As it happens, I didn't have enough of those stone blocks. So I have to spend a bit of time over at the Bazaar, refreshing for Fossil. It didn't take too long, and they were 1,000 each so not too expensive.
While I was there I purchased a few more Giant Treasure Cards, and then some Legion Shield Treasure Cards. Everything else was already there in my backpack. I never sell any reagents.... ever!

Then all that is required is a quick trip back to the lower level of my Red Barn Farm where I keep my crafting tables. First up 4 Congo drums, as I need to craft 2 Spirit Caller Drums.... At this point, of course, the crafting slots over heated, so I headed to bed while they cooled. The next day I was straight back into it, slots were empty - time to craft!

Two Spirit Caller Drums later and I'm called back to Zafaria to prove I have what it takes. This crafting challenge is complete and I'm now the owner of another shiny new badge -

    Really not sure if I want to use this badge though..... I think I will remain V E R D A N T   G A R D E N E R for a while longer to be honest.

    Until Next Time,
    Tabitha

Khrysalis 2 - Pets, Crafting, Housing, Tours & Gardening

    Hey Everyone,

Time to let you know a bit more about some of those updates that came with the Khrysalis 2 release a few days ago......

    Crafting Updates

One for all those higher level Wizards.... If you've completed your Crafting tasks for Oztomeca in Three Points in Azteca, and obtained the Crafting Title of Transcendent Crafter, then Oztomeca has a new task for you.

Visit him in Three Points in Azteca to obtain the quest "Way of the Crafter". That quest will send you to Stendill HammerTail in Silent Market, Khrysalis, to continue your training. The quest Stendill HammerTail will give you is (of course) "Stop! HammerTail".

    Crown Shop Reagent Bundles

Not looking forward to collecting more Stone Blocks? Run out of Scrap Iron again? Where is a patch of Deep Mushrooms when you need them?
Never fear! Collecting certain reagents will never be the same again, if you have crowns to spare that is! New Reagent Bundles are available in the Crown Shop:

    Gardening & Housing Updates
    • Moon Flowers, which are a Rank 1 plant, will no longer attract Rank 2 pests
    • Blue Huckleberries, which are a Rank 1 plant, will no longer attract Rank 2 pests
    • Honey Bee Plants, which are a Rank 1 plant, will no longer attract Rank 2 pests
    • Angel Oak must be planted in Enchanted Soil
    • Melting Cheese Trees have begun to attract pests
    • Unfortunately, we have been unable to address the issue of rank 5 gardening spells not stacking. We'll continue to work on this and it will hopefully be addressed in an upcoming content update.

    Housing

    • When in Decorating Mode, items of the same type will now stack in the item placement window
    • When in Decorating Mode, the name of the selected item is now displayed when you are placing or adjusting an item
    • Avalon housing items are now available as rewards from duels
    • More House names & phrases have been added to the Customizable Housing Signs
    • Medal Display, Medal Display Case and Commemorative Statue can no longer be sold at the Bazaar
    • Curved Vase Case & Vase Case are now properly labeled as Furniture not Decoration
    • Items picked up in the world can now be sold in the Bazaar

    Castle Tours

When Castle Tours first made an appearance there were some clear issues. Houses were appearing that had not been decorated at all, and that was clearly not the intent of that update. Good news is that this has been fixed and Houses must have at least 50 items inside and 50 items outside before they can be added to Castle Tours.
Additionally, players will be prompted to confirm that their house actually contains a maze when adding a Maze themed Castle

One of the things I always wondered when I had my MooShoo house in the Castle Tours, was how many Wizards had popped over, so it is great to see this update - Castle owners can now view the number of days left on the tour and the number of visitors to their home.

    New School Pets!

New Pets have arrived to stand by your side in peace and combat. If you are a minimum of level 98and have your level 78 school pet, speak to your School Professor for your next pet quest.

That's it for this update. As you can see KI have been very busy indeed!

    Until Next Time!
    Tabitha.

    Tabitha's Myth House Revealed!

    Hey Everyone,

As you may have read earlier this week, my Myth House is now done. Inside was complete when I placed the final Jade Chair, and the placing of the Carousel saw the garden also complete.

As promised here are a few pictures of the house. First up is the outdoor entertainment area. I have set a party theme here, and this is also where the majority of my sunflowers shine.

I wanted to create a fun area, that was also relaxed enough to kick back and take in the evening.

You have already seen the bistro area with the jade chairs and tables, so I'll skip that part of the house.

The pool area is the obvious choice for more of a celestial theme.More sunflowers and scattered cushions and mattresses make for the perfect spot to enjoy some ice-cream!

You have seen the carousel already, so I have taken a few more of the garden to showcase the myriad of colours provided by trees of all sizes and hues.

A few of the trees were tough to get hold of, and it is fun to walk around through some of their branches when you actually visit.

There are chickens, flowers, food carts and even a wooden well. My love of things that move meant I also had to place a couple of steaming pagodas.

Next up is a very functional kitchen and a rather blue sitting area. The kitchen is again crafted from the recipes bought in Grizzleheim. I hope there are different options a bit later in the game for crafting some different kitchen furniture.... if not then I guess I'll have to get some housing packs in the Crown Shop.

In the sitting room I was keen to create a blue floor to match those padded chairs. There were no carpets to suit, so I used 3 of the knotted rugs instead.
The last area is the rather pretty garden themed bedroom. This is the first time I have used a full carpet in a room, and I think it works very well. The bright cerise tones help bring the room alive, so I was happy to pick up a good mix of them. There are a few of the more difficult to acquire objects in this room too.

Again I have had a great time decorating this house. I really need to get back to questing though, as I have been doing anything but!

Once this gardening challenge is done, I will get back into it properly. At the moment I tend to stay in my gardening gear all the time! And I haven't even had to do much at Halfang recently. One of the bonus side effects of the extra gardening. I will post some more on this soon. Join me on Twitter and get behind me in this challenge! #Tabithatowin

Love to hear your comments on the house!

    Until Next Time,
    Tabitha.

    Biding my Time

     Hey Everyone!

For anyone that has been reading the blog recently, they will know that I have (somewhat foolishly) engaged with Morgrim in a race to reach level 20 Verdant Gardener.
I've become a little bit (OK a lot!) obsessed by this challenge, and I needed a distraction! And I had a fair bit of gold too, selling my fares from obsessive gardening will do that for you!

So what to do? I had Gold and I had Time...... easy choice - time for Crafting something again! Plenty of room in the garden of my Myth House, so off I go to Grizzleheim, Dragonspyre and Celestia to chose the item.
It was an easy choice in the end... the Carousel. It was bright, fun and I didn't have all the reagents needed, so it would take a little time to complete.

Of the reagents required, I needed the Grendelweed and Ancient Scrolls. The Scrolls were fairly easy to find at the Bazaar, but Grendelweed... not so much. As many times as I hit refresh on the Reagents - that weed did not show. So I checked my backback for my transmute cards to see what I needed create some of my own.

As you can see, 15 Frost Flowers would give me 1 Grendelweed. These transmute cards are very handy - any serious Crafter needs them. They can be brought at Celestia, and the best news is that the crafting slot cool down is not triggered by them. So you can create as many reagents as you want!

It wasn't too long before I had everything in place. So off I went straight to my Barn, as that is where I keep my crafting tables. Pressing 'x' on my Housing Table, I was surprised not to see the Carousel waiting.... so I double checked the recipe..... Thanks to Morgrim's post about crafting tables I was able to identify that I needed the Dragonspyre Anvil. You can read up on it here. I also had a quick re-read of that post to remind myself of where to go in Dragonspyre! Thanks Morgrim :)

Once done, it was back to my Myth House to find a good garden spot. This garden is a myriad of colourful trees mainly, so I moved a few around to create a good sized area - and here it is!

I love it. And I think that this is another house I can call closed. I will pop some pictures up of my efforts later in the week.

I guess it's back to gardening now! #Tabithatowin

    Until Next Time,

    The Madness of Jade Chairs

You know, when I got my Myth House I really wasn't sure what style would evolve as I started decorating. I know it took me a long time to make the plunge to buying it, but I am really glad I did. One of the first areas I started working on was on the ground level. A mixture of banners and potted plants and I quickly achieved what I wanted. Next up was what to fill the floor space with..... I decided on a bistro style area - tables and chairs all around. At the Bazaar I spent some time looking at the choice available, and decided on the low Jade table. I already had a recipe to craft Jade chairs.... And so it began.

First up was getting those tables. Although not rare - sometimes it takes a couple of days to get 1 or 2. I needed 8. And pretty quickly I had 8. Next the Jade chairs. I need 2 per table to achieve the look I want.
The biggest problem with the recipe is the need for Black Pearls. As you can see, I need 24 Black Pearls for one chair. Black Pearls cost 1875 gold at the Bazaar. Very rarely there is more than one available. And more often than not, Buy returns a "Item is Already Sold". I have a transmute card, so I can use that to create them, that needs 15 Black Lotus..... not always easy to get hold of either. Needless to say it has been a long process. Yesterday I decided to just needed to buckle down and put in the time at the Bazaar to get those Pearls. I had almost 200,000 gold.
Let the refresh begin! I have no idea how long it took, but you can see the results for yourself - I managed to get hold of 105 Pearls, and I am left with 839 Gold. That's 196,875 Gold.

I can craft 3 of them before the warning about the crafting slot, and then the wait begins. Actually, the wait involves hopping over to Hangfang to try and replenish some of that gold.

Always hoping for amulets over there, I'll admit I did 10 battles and not one amulet came my way. But at least I had some gold. I only needed 9 more Black Pearls and 20 Bones to finish my latest crafting quest.

So I hopped back over to the Bazaar and tried my luck again. The end was in sight.... come on Black Pearls...... and there it was. 10 of them. I had never seen 10 of them in one go before. I needed 9. I held my breath and tried to move that mouse as quickly as possible..... Success!! And a cheaper price than normal was the added bonus.
I did it!!! Time to craft that last chair and pop it in place.
I have to say I am pretty glad that is over. Those Jade Chairs are worth 300,000 Gold in Black Pearls alone. Add the other ingredients and I have no idea how much I have actually spent. But I think it was worth the effort. You can only see 6 tables in the shot below, but it gives you an idea of how the area has turned out. And you know the funny thing? That last Jade chair was my 250 housing limit item! It was obviously just meant to be!

Another room done. Actually another house done! I'll post a few pics of the other rooms another time. But you know what? It's probably time I got back to doing some quests. I have 4 quests. Just 4. One page - time to hit Celestia I think. In the meantime - what do you think. Are the Jade Chairs worth the effort. Drop me a comment and let me know!

    Until Next Time,
    Tabitha.

    Wizardly Competitiveness

    Hey Everyone,

By now you all know that I am a bit of a lurker when it comes to the Bazaar. Always on the look out for any rare items, I usually start and end my Wizard101 time with a trip there. And I have been quite lucky, that or my patience has paid off. Take the snow globes. I now have 26 of them, the inside of my Winter Wind Palace is slowly filling with snow, to mirror the outside. If there is one there, I will buy it.

Well it seems that one of my Wizard friends has decided to challenge me!! Galen has decided that he will try and out buy me at the bazaar and buy all things rare. Daily I get the call "Have you seen this?" "Have you got this" "Bet you don't have this!". And unfortunately quite a few items I don't have and haven't seen in there. Of course there are a lot that I have already purchased. The worst thing is my luck seems to have deserted me somewhat too! I tell you I have to keep quiet about what I am after in case he gets in there before me.
For instance the Low Jade Table.... it has taken a while to get the number I required for my Myth House. For two weeks I have been very quiet about these tables, never mentioning them. But now I have enough it's all good. Although the Jade Chairs are costing me a small fortune to craft, but that's another story! The banners you can see in the image below can be trying to get hold of, but in saying that there were 23 of them in the Bazaar this morning - funny how that happens sometimes.

Trouble is, with Galen buying these other items that I don't have, I just have to search for more things. More time spent at the Bazaar - there won't be any time for questing soon! So the race is on, as soon as he knows he has something I don't - well he just wants to buy them every-time he sees them - just so I can't!

It's all good fun though, and it goes to show how Wizard101 has something to suit everyone. It's not just about winning those fights! Maybe you can catch me at the Bazaar or Halfang - I need gold to get the reagents for those Jade Chairs!

Oh and Galen - if you're reading..... it's on!!!

    Until Next Time,
    Tabitha

    Hammer Time!

    Hey everyone,

Last night I was doing a bit of questing, one of those that have been sitting there for a while.... one that takes you back to all the worlds I have opened so far. Moo Shoo and Dragonspyre were on the cards last night. While I was in one of the battles, one of my Wizard friends started text chatting - specifically about my new wand. Obviously he had been doing a bit of Wizard stalking and had noticed that my wand really wasn't a wand at all but was a hammer.

He wanted to know how I got it..... it was a crafted item. I have been busy crafting. Having access to Vestrilund has meant two things. The first is that I have access to the Spiral's Bank (Halfang) and the second is access to new recipes for gear. And these are really useful.
So why did I choose this particular 'wand'. Well the reasons here are twofold too. Firstly I was interested in the cards it gave me. The school specific strikes are really handy, especially when you have a weakness on you, or you need to clear a shield, but I liked the idea of being able to heal others, and this hammer hit the mark, so to speak. The second reason was that, thanks to my gardening, I had everything I needed except the treasure cards, so it would be an easy craft.
I'll admit that the treasure cards were a bit of a bind in the end. It took several days at the Bazaar refreshing the life TCs to get just four of them. But persistence paid off, as it often does in the Bazaar. Off I pop to my Red Barn Farm as that is where I keep my crafting tables, but when I go to craft the recipe is not showing up. Then I remember a previous post by Morgrim.... I checked the recipe card again and found that the Grizzleheim crafting anvil was required.

I love it when a recipe takes me over to this Anvil. It really is quite stunning. So job done and I now have a shiny new hammer. I have been using it in the bigger battles when I am not on my own, and it is proving to be very useful. The rest of my crafted gear has been stitched from gear at the Bazaar. My choice in what the gear looks like has changed considerably since I started! In those days I favoured black and red mostly - very different to now lol!

    Until next time,
    Tabitha.
