Our very own Blaze takes a look at the craftable tapestries and I included a couple of YouTube videos to point out the generousity of KI with the Double Gardening rewards.

Running slightly late due to a public holiday for Australia over here at the Keep. We missed a big ticket news item last week, so I am officially reporting news that is slightly older than normal - but it is definitely worth a mention.There were three more awesome blogs given official status, I just want to say a huge congratulations to all three of them - keep up the great work you do guys!

The other big story for the week was the first member benefits - and they came in mine and Morgrim's favourite past-time - Gardening. I hope that many of you were able to make use of these benefits by getting your plants to Elder and doubling up on those Crowns Seeds!!

When you're playing the game do you ever wonder where the stories come from? Well the folks over at KI have a new blog post giving us all 8 facts that "might surprise us".  You'll find out some pretty cool stuff over in that blog post. Things like:

• What it has to do Finding Nemo or ToyStory
• The game is suitable for older style technology
• The initial launch had four adventure zones - read the article to find out what they were!

Back at the Keep, Blaze has been busy discovering that Pet stats aren't everything.... sometimes it's all in the look! So he has been busy training a new pet - the Tempest. Being a Death Wizard I have to disagree with him about this being the perfect 'looking' pet as I have real issues with floating pets lol!! I do wish him the best of luck hatching and training this pet though, and look forward to updates on those stats.

Lastly, Stars of the Spiral share with us the recipes for crafting all the music boxes in the Spiral.

Running slightly late with the Weekly this week, sometimes real life just seems to take over!

Let's get into it! KI have published a great article on their blog about the 'punny' names that are often used in Wizard101. I'm sure you've all seen one or two of them around, and maybe you have one of your own wizards with a creative pun used for the name. I was amazed to find that there are almost 2 million name combinations available. Oh and you really must spend some time reading the comments too. Being a Dr Who fan I just want to say thanks to lewski for pointing out that Amy Pond and Tyler Rose are both available - while not puns the fan names can be just as much fun!
In other news, Blaze is back with more tips. This time he has a neat tip of playing the Cannon Game  for Pet Training more efficiently. We all know that when it comes to Pet Training, fast is generally the want - so this is a helpful tip!
Lastly, Swordroll shares with us his experiences in the secret room in Krokotopia. I love the stories and rumours that surround Wiz101, so it's great to see that Swordroll and Elijah had success and 'found' the room. Although it was somewhat sad to keep reading and find that said room or glitch has now been removed. I hope the rest of the community continues to point out these cool glitches when they find them. They really are a heap of fun!

Happy New Year from all of us at the Keep. We hope your Christmas was fantastic and wish each and every one of you a fabulous 2015 filled with fun and smiles! While we have been off on our holidays, the Spiral has kept itself busy. I haven't had time to catch up on all the news from fellow bloggers, but that is why I find the weekly so useful. Testing Tabitha and so much more

So my week started with a challenge. In my quest to solo my own challenges, the Jabberwock put a bit of a spanner in the works. Cue the forum on Wiz101 Central, specifically the Duelists..... and I found myself with new cards, and a strategy unlike any other I had encountered in the Spiral. Determination, a bit of luck and sticking to some pretty rigid rules saw me through - 54 moves and I had completed my solo mission. Meanwhile, Morgrim took on more bundle analysis - the new packs and bundles are certainly keeping him typing hard! And then the big news that hit towards the end of the week..... it seems that KI will be releasing the new updates in a stepped manner...... first up - Four new dungeons. I haven't had chance to look at them yet, but there are plenty that have!

It is also a week to say well done to those KI gamers who gave 24 hours of their time to play in the Spiral and raise over $9,000 for Children's extra Life - you guys all rock!

As Halloween Departs the Spiral, will the Test Realm open soon?

It is fair to say that the folks over at KI work really hard to keep us Wizards entertained and excited to keep playing in the Spiral. Every week seems to bring with it something new , and this week is no exception, with the release of two new bundles. Not only that though, the rumour machine is up and running and there is plenty of chatter about a Spiral wide update and the Test Realm is expected to go live again in the not too distant future. Hints are everywhere and it is interesting to see what some of our fellow bloggers are predicting!

This is also the final day of Halloween, I hope you made use of your crowns and got some of those Halloween packs. You won't see them again until next year!

So Halloween continues in the Spiral. Have you collected your pumpkins, ghosts (of all shades) and apple baskets? Have you caught all the Halloween fish yet? And what about the pack - have you indulged. As you know I did for the mount, which is just so awesome for a little death Wiz like me... and thanks to Morgrim's analysis I spent more crowns to gain my new wands - and their ever so useful Critical hit. I put it to good use early, and went critical on 4 in a row - so it was worth it!

And KI have a great blog post about how you can dress up as Merle Ambrose for all your trick or treating excursions. Have fun with this one!

Did you know there is a Wizard World? I didn't - but of course KI did. So Professor Greyrose and a few of the development team hot footed it over to Texas to check it out. Read how it went on their blog update. Meanwhile at the Keep, I decided that it was time to upgrade Winston - my previously untrained pet that increased XP as a garbage collector. He did well :) And Morgrim has some more pack analysis for us all.

Don't forget the 5 boxes event ends today - I'll be heading over to complete box 4 later, although I do hope the event will happen again so I have the chance for box 5! How are you going with the quests?

PHEW! What a Week!!!

It's been a HUGE week in the Spiral. First big news was the return of Halloween - which is always heaps of fun. Run around Wizard City collecting spooky items and take care of the naughty vegetables misbehaving in the haunted Cave. And then another personal fave - of mine anyway..... The Professor and his "bigger on the inside" Red Telegraph box are on the move through time and space in the Spiral. Catch him in this limited time event! And then there was the culmination of the Birthday month of September - the last candle was lit and we were given the gift of crowns... PHEW!!! What a week!

Looking Back and All New x 2

The birthday celebrations continue, and the awesome people that help keep the Spiral alive are continuing to share their personal recollections on the last 5 or 6 years. This week Professor Greyrose shares some of her insights. Here at The Keep we decided that Morgrim's Pack posts deserved their own space so you can find them straight away. He will continue to update and provide some great analysis work so we can be sure to buy the right pack! And a BIG first this week was the KI Live Streaming. The feedback on Twitter was that it was awesome and Wizards everywhere can't wait for the next one. Great work KI!
